The new and improved NYOrtho Door Guard Alarm system is a valuable tool designed to help prevent wandering and enhance safety for patients or residents in healthcare settings, as well as at home.

RECOMMENDED USE: For wandering patients; to deter unauthorized entry or exits.

• Purpose: It alerts caregivers when a patient, resident, or even a child attempts to exit or enter a door monitored by the system, making it useful for fall management and wander prevention.
• Simplified Setup: The updated design includes a metal trip plate on the alarm and a magnet sewn directly into the banner. To set up, simply attach the magnet to the plate, and the system is ready to function—no complicated steps required.
• Easy Installation: Banner and alarm attach securely with adhesive hook and loop strips, and can be easily removed in an emergency.
• Reliable Alarm Activation: The alarm sounds instantly when the banner is detached, with options to select between a music or alarm sound, and a high/low volume setting.
• Visual Deterrent: The Door Guard continues to offer a clear visual reminder (red stop sign) to residents or children, discouraging them from passing through the guarded doorway. Compatible with NYOrtho Door Guard Stop Sign Banner (9797).
• Battery Operated: The system runs on a 9-Volt battery (included) and features a low battery indicator to ensure continuous operation.
• Available Sizes: 40”, 48”, 53” and 60” length. Custom sizes available.
• Actual size is 4 inches longer. The extra 4 inches—2 on each side—allows the Velcro panels to attach securely to the door frame or adjacent wall, ensuring the banner stays firmly in place across the doorway.
